When global software leader Unity Technologies sought to establish a presence in Calgary, Cougar Contractors was entrusted with delivering a cutting-edge, full-floor tenant fit-out spanning 20,000 square feet. Designed by Shearer Design, this project required advanced technical solutions to meet the client’s complex software infrastructure needs.

The build presented several unique challenges, including constructing above the building’s main power supply and adapting to pandemic restrictions. To ensure safety during the pandemic, work crews were carefully scheduled in shifts, minimizing contact while maintaining progress. The project also involved international collaboration, with security teams from England and IT specialists from San Francisco and Vancouver working seamlessly to integrate high-level technology and security features.

Despite the complexities, Cougar Contractors successfully delivered a high-performance workspace, reinforcing Unity Technologies' expansion into Calgary. This project is a testament to Cougar’s ability to navigate global coordination, technological demands, and unforeseen challenges to create a world-class office environment.
